Notes About Existing Stations... Gallipolis (CHV&T) - The station closed in the 1960s. Station is in poor condition, but as of 2015 a group was formed to seek non-profit status to restore the station. Kanauga (CHV&T) - This station was also train order office with the call sign "CK" which closed around 1992. Only part of the original building remains. The main railroad that uses this line is Norfolk Southern via trackage rights, but CSX has ownership from Pt. Pleasant, WV to Hobsen Yards in Middleport, OH. Station was boarded up and as of March 1, 2001 and the building was still standing, but there was a condemned sign on the building. It was previously believed to have been torn down, but was rediscovered as still standing in 2024. This is the Pomeroy Sub-Division. NS ownership ends a few hundred feet railroad west, geographic south, of the station at Block Station CONCO. |
